I found Jessica through a mutual friend when I was in the market for a GSD pup back in December. I messaged her and she was super quick to respond. She gave me lots of information and was beyond helpful. She let me know almost immediately when her females were in heat and started keeping me updated on pups. I’m sure I drove her bonkers as I messaged her constantly, but she was so kind and helpful. I drove 2+ hours north to meet her and her family and the dogs. Both the dam and sire exceeded my expectations and I was comfortable with making the purchase. I gave her my deposit right then. When the pups were born, I made a trip at 4 weeks go make my pick. After our last GSD passed away our home never felt the same. Me and my fiance started looking around to fill our hearts again. We finally came across Hughston German Shepherds. We were looking for a certain color and good qualities. Jessica at Hughston was very knowledgeable. Her pups all looked great, they were always involved and interacting with their dogs. We got our boy Odin from Titan and Viska back in February this year (2019). First, about Odin - he’s a great boy. He’s super smart, awesome with our two year old daughter and highly trainable. He’s the type that you can play and roughhouse with and give the command to settle down and he will. And this is in his puppy stages even. Jessica is great to work with. Very knowledgeable about the breed, and services you might want for your pup down the road. I’ve been toying about SCH training, and was having trouble finding trainers near me let alone basic information and prices since that would be all new to me. Very quickly I was provided everything I wanted to know. Very nice, professional and very well taken care of dogs from very good bloodlines. German Shepherd Dogs are one of the best breeds out there - so do yourself a favor and get one with good health and temperament from Hughston German Shepherds. You absolutely will not be disappointed!

A little over a year ago Lois and I decided to look for another puppy. We had lost the last pit bull and even though we are in our 60s we felt the house was empty without a dog in it. We started looking around and saw the Hughston German Shepherds page and started investigating. We knew the Hughston name through the horse world and know they are very respected. While checking out more we found that Jessica is very knowledgeable about her breeding program and using only very good bloodlines.
Jessica would send out pictures every so often so we could see the pups as they were growing and had some with her young children playing with them. Her pups are socialized all along with her children and that helps when they go to a home that has children or grandchildren. That was important to us as we have 4 young grandkids that are here almost everyday.
Jessica alway been most helpful with us and has a bond with all her puppies she sends out. We are proud to own a Hughston German Shepherd puppy and highly recommend them if you are looking for a quality Shepherd. If 6 stars was available I would give them one
